Our New Partnership with Farnworth Library

Farnworth Library has reopened with a new Adult Community Classroom.The work taking place at our historic Carnegie library has been completed and now includes a new adult community classroom, developed in partnership with 91ߣɫ. Courses on offer includeFREEEnglish and Maths lessons, from beginners right up to GCSEas well as Basic and Essential Digital Skills classes.Career-focused courses like Interview Skills, Book-keeping, Accounting and Marketing courses will allow adults to pursue new career paths,help people to secure employment or progress at work.A Family Learning curriculum will also give parents and carers the skills to support their primary school aged children with Maths and English in a fun and engaging way.

“We are excited about our new partnership with 91ߣɫ in Farnworth.Having this dedicated adult community classroom provides us with a unique opportunity and will allow local people to tap into a range of different courses close to where they live and work.”

“We already offer a broad range of courses at the College’s Community Learning Centre in New Bury, and I’m delighted that this partnership with the Council’s Library & Museum Service will allow us to expand our offer.Together, we can bring even more opportunities to the people of Farnworth, boosting educational attainment and giving local people the chance to step back into learning in an adult-centred supportive environment.”
