    This qualification prepares learners for further learning and training whilst developing an understanding of the teaching and learning environment in a school setting. It covers areas such as how to support the well-being of a child or young person and child and young person development.
  • Entry requirements

    Learners must attend "Find out About Working in Schools" introductory course before completing Preparing to Work in Schools Level 1.
  • How will I be assessed?

    You will be assessed by completing workbooks throughout the course to confirm your knowledge and understanding of the course content.
  • Is there anything else I need to know?

    It is advised that learners wishing to gain a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification, that GCSE's Maths and English are studied along side this course.

    If you successfully complete this course, you will receive an accredited qualification certificate from NCFE: Cache.

    Assessment


    All learners will complete an individual learning plan which will be discussed with their tutor throughout the course.

    Financial


    You may not have to pay tuition fees at all, if you fall into one of the groups eligible for fee exemptions. If you feel you may be eligible or would like someone to explain course fees in more detail, pleasecontact us via our Live Chat service available on any page of our website.

    Adult Learners


    Adult learners (19+) must provide evidence of their existing qualification at enrolment. Learners may not be able to enrol if this information is not provided when requested. If you have lost any certificates please contact your school in the first instance. If they are unable to provide a copy, you can contact one of the following exam boards (your school will be able to tell you which one applies to the exams you took):

You must do the work set during these times or it will impact your progress on the course and therefore your achievement.
