Overview of the course
Our Apprenticeship programmes will give you vital hands-on experience, learning from real life situations, with the guidance of industry professionals. You’ll gain the skills and confidence needed to excel in your chosen career.
This Apprenticeship will teach you how digital marketing and aspects of social media positively impact on real-life businesses within a range of different industries. You will develop your portfolio whilst gaining skills in the latest industry-standard software.
The course is a great way to build on your skills and gain a recognised qualification whilst also earning a salary.

Apprenticeships offer great opportunities for people of all ages; an Apprenticeship is a job with training to industry standards, enabling you to enter a recognised occupation. All Apprenticeships are employer led, and as well as providing long term earnings, they also give you the ability to progress.
• You’ll earn a wage as you’re learning and are entitled to paid holidays.
• You can earn 10% more after studying on a Level 3 Apprenticeship than if you went straight in to work.
• 90% of apprentices remain in employment, either with their current employer or another company.
• 85% of employers participate in Apprenticeship programmes and consider them a good thing.
• You can train to post graduate level without incurring any university fees.
• By passing an independent End Point Assessment, you will join thousands of people acquiring a modern and recognised qualification.

What you'll learn
• How to contribute to the marketing plans, delivery or evaluation of strategic marketing activity through the creation of written planning and evaluation documents and presentations,
• How to Use appropriate primary and/or secondary research methods including survey tools, key word research tools and desktop research to gather marketing insight or evaluation.
• How to Use research data to inform marketing decisions, targeting, planning, delivery.
• How to Source, create and edit content in collaboration with colleagues for appropriate marketing channels, such as website, email, social media, sales materials, affiliate marketing or event displays, ensuring that brand guidelines are met in order to achieve marketing objectives.
• How to support and manage the cataloguing of offline and digital marketing materials and assets in line with marketing regulations and legislation including sustainability of hard copy and digital campaigns
• How to Publish, monitor and respond to editorial, creative or video content via website, social media/video sharing platforms, offline platforms.
• How to support the administration of marketing activities
• How to use the organisation’s customer relationship management system (inhouse or externally sourced) to maintain accurate customer data and relationships are managed in the pursuit of marketing goals.
• How to identify and use relevant/emerging trends, solutions and technologies to implement effective marketing activities.
• How to contribute to the monitoring of marketing expenditure and activities to a specified budget and plan in line with company processes.
• How to Monitor, optimise, analyse and evaluate marketing campaigns and channels in order to deliver on marketing objectives for the organisation and/or clients, measuring marketing delivery effectiveness.

Entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements however, employers are looking for apprentices with a strong interest/passion for a career in digital and social media.

How will I be assessed?
You’ll be assessed throughout your learning programme by a mixture of formal tests, workplace observations, portfolio building and self-assessment.

On successful completion of this Apprenticeship, you could progress onto full-time employment, professional job-specific qualifications, Higher Apprenticeships or a degree programme.
Following further study you could work as:
• A Digital Marketer, earning up to £50,000 per year
• A Social Media Manager, earning up to £75,000 per year
• An Account Executive, earning up to £40,000 per year
