T Levels are new courses that will follow on from GCSEs and are the equivalent of gaining three A Levels. They combine classroom learning with practical learning, allowing students to take an extended industry placement, with programmes designed in partnership with leading employers and businesses. T Levels are an opportunity for students to thrive in the world of work, allowing them to progress to highly skilled employment, a higher apprenticeship or higher level study.

T Levels are different to Apprenticeships; students spend around 80% of their time in the classroom and 20% on an industry placement with an employer. This gives students the knowledge and skills companies are looking for.

T Levels have been developed with leading employers and businesses, so that learners can stay on top of the latest industry requirements and gain the skills for success. More than 200 businesses, including Fujitsu and IBM, have been involved in the creation of T Levels. After completing the T Level qualification, your young person will have the knowledge and skills to start skilled employment, or progress to a higher apprenticeship or higher level study.

T Levels are also worth UCAS points. If your child gets a T Level Distinction*, this is the same as three A Levels at A*! T Levels are recognised by universities, so your young person can progress onto higher level study, should they wish.
