has organised more virtual Open Days over the next three months following the success of its last two events.
Academic staff and students from across all subject areas, both Undergraduate and Postgraduate, chatted with prospective applicants online during the virtual Open Days in March and April.
They provided a ‘virtual’ glimpse into life as a student at the University and the wide variety of courses on offer.
Across both days, over the online chat service, there were more than 100 conversations and over 1,000 messages sent.
Support staff (disability, support, funding) including Students’ Union and accommodation advisers were also on hand to answer any queries from people from all over the world.
The University of 91ߣɫ has organised further virtual Open Days on Wednesday May 6, Wednesday June 3 and Wednesday July 1, from 10am-1pm.
There will be live video subject presentations and live chats from academic and support staff.
As well as the virtual Open Days there will be a series of weekly live chats, starting on Wednesday April 8, with a break for Easter and recommencing on Wednesday April 22 and every Wednesday thereafter, from 2-4pm.
Paul Starkey, The University’s Director of Student Recruitment and Admissions, said: “During this lockdown we wanted to make sure that anyone interested in the fantastic courses here could find out all they wanted to know, not just by searching a web page, but by actually speaking to tutors, students and support staff.
“We have found that people found the days very informative and could ask the relevant person whatever they wanted to without having to venture out during these challenging times.
“We would encourage anyone to take part in the next virtual Open Days in May, June and July.”
